”Protest” it is a contemporary dance performance created in the format of a sound and visual choreographic installation which proposes an imaginative exercise about the possibility of
a utopian society in which the human individual becomes an isolated being in a segregated and supervised society.
The theme of the performance has a starting point is in the street protests that have erupted in Romania and France in the last year and it is an analyze of the pathology of social life in
the context of a new world, where the old laws are ignored.
Choreographically investigating the effect of protest movements on the psyche and the human body, Sandra Mavhima proposes a cruel performance with an atmosphere that sinks into the viewers perception to drive him hypnotically into a world he only has the feeling of being a part, but which is, in fact, an illusion of its own reality.
