OPUS I-IV
The choreographic creation OPUS I-IV represents the practical extension of the theoretical research Choreographic language in the experimental film, carried out by Assistant Prof. PhD. Sandra Mavhima, who pursued a concrete analysis of some of the most important artistic theories in the field of choreography, dance, performing arts, film and visual arts, through experimental practices that developed during the 20th century in Europe and the United States United States of America. These practices, which marked the beginning of a choreographic philosophy, reconfigure on radically different bases the relationship between dance and choreography – notions with which choreographers usually operate, and thus, choreographic art, understood for a long time as a discipline whose object is the ordering and creation of dance movements, is currently becoming extremely relevant for the study of models and patterns with a universal character, which are found in the evolution of all physical, mental and social structures.
